After getting enrolled in NIIFT (Mohali) Sandeep was very keen and passionate to have his own label some day. His first commercial exposure in fashion was when he got to intern with Savio Jon in Goa, which he terms truely a learning experience.

After passing out from college he joined a leading fully vertically integrated firm sportking where he headed the womens fashion range. He also designed the autumn/winter womens T-shirt range for Shoppers Stop. But since he couldn't resist his desperation for having his own label he quit his job and finally his label 'Gurnam' which he dedicates to all his gurus (teachers) and specially to his mom was launched. His forte is to blend the beauty of indian arts and crafts with modern and futuristic global fashion. Today with a very good clientele in North India and supplying to boutiques and stores in US and Canada, he surely has a promising future.

With firm belief in his creativity and originality, he is ready to showcase his new collection at Bangalore Fashion Week winter/festive 2010. His collection has been inspired by the new age global indian woman who is quite exposed to the global influences and also shares a modern sense of thinking but at the same time is also tempered by our huge sense of tradition, culture and family. She is quite aware of international trends, tastes and preferences but is also very clear of her own aspirations and choices. His collection is an urban exotic fusion where he weaves indian sensibility with an international understanding using haze of heritage and old world customs along with modern values. Hence his woman is quite bold, beautiful, sexy, sassy and very indian at heart.

Beige, black, white, silver, gold, greens, fuschia are the dominant colours in his collection. Organza, laminated fabrics, net, georgettes have been used with lots of experimentations. Also he has come up with some very exciting and exclusive new range of shoes for his show. And he is looking forward to rock the ramp and having a great show at Bangalore.

Colours, textures, prints & patterns have always inspired this INIFD graduate from kolkata to create simple but striking fashion. While still in college, Soham completed his internship from Mumbai and joined a fashion house in Kolkata as a designer. In 2009, Soham launched his own prêt label called "so-mo". His label has a classy range of ethnic and western attire for both men and women with a touch of bling. Apart from his regular clients he also designs for celebrities like Parno Mitra and Anshuman Gupta. He also caters to individual orders.

Lakme Fashion House , where Swapnil was first runner up .
The brand Swapnil Shinde a mere 3 yr old label has rapidly become
One of the favourite's amongst india's young and sexy models,
Celebrities and jet-sets...
The brand revolves around trying to find the
possibility of a balance between the two extreme
terms, 'sexy' without being cheap or crude, and 'elegant'
without being boring or matronly.
Apart from styling various celebrities like aishwarya rai , Priyanka Chopra, Lara Dutta ,
Mughda Godse, Amrita Rao, Soha Ali Khan , shweta salve ,kangana ranaut
Shweta bhardwaj, mandira bedi, shazahn padamsee to name a few,
he has just finished designing costumes for ideam production "Fired" starring Rahul Bose.
He has also designed few key looks for
Madhur Bhandarkar's movie "Fashion" specially for
Priyanka Chopra,
people pictures "99" starring kunal khemu and soha ali khan ,
and recently for sanjay leela bhansali productions "Guzarish"
various ad campaigns
like Sunsilk with Priyanka Chopra,
Vivel with Amrita Rao and a few music videos.
Recently swapnil also created a special wardrobe for current

Overall the brand does not scream loud
That it's from India! But it gives a hint that it has something Indian!
