BFW Day Two moves from disciplined contrast to fluid eveningwear and floral surface detail
The second day of Bangalore Fashion Week’s 27th edition traced a wide register of moods, from sharp student-led contrast to sculpted colour, festive florals and evening silhouettes shaped by drape, contour and texture.
Bengaluru, 16 October 2026 — Day Two at Bangalore Fashion Week opened its narrative with Institute of Fashion Technology Kerala, where sharp colour blocking, fluid drape and graphic surface detail set a disciplined, contemporary tone. Black, red and metallic accents gave the student showcase a precise edge, with the runway reading as a study in control and contrast.
MSR Academia Design Fashion Management followed. GOLDEN SUTRA by Geetha Bai Sulake then shifted the mood towards sculpted colour and floral surface work, moving between dark romance, bright volume and textural embellishment. The collection added warmth and ornament, its fluid drape carrying colour with a sense of movement and softness.
Alex Fashion introduced a more formal evening register, with white volume giving way to deep jewel tones. Fitted bodices, sheer detailing and floor-skimming silhouettes shaped a sequence that felt polished and composed, while the palette and proportions lent the showcase a clear sense of occasion.
LABEL DE BACHI by Deepanjali brought floral prints and festive colour into the line-up, balancing structured ethnic silhouettes with softer, layered forms. The collection’s fluid drapes and vivid surface language kept the mood buoyant, while the floral motifs linked back to the day’s recurring interest in decoration and texture.
VD Diamante by Venuka Wickramaarachchi moved into pastel precision, with sheer layering and sculpted tailoring in pale pink, ivory and blush tones. The collection held fluid drape and structured contour in careful tension, offering a lighter, more refined register before Abhishek Dutta closed the day with sculpted drape, cutwork and metallic texture in grey, pink, teal and orange. Across the full line-up, Day Two unfolded as a sequence of contrasts: discipline and softness, structure and flow, dark romance and festive colour, all held together by surface work and silhouette.
