Institute of Fashion Technology Kerala brings sculptural metallic codes to BFW Day Four
The student showcase at the 27th edition of Bangalore Fashion Week moved through metallic surfaces, saturated colour and architectural volume. Layers, sheen and structured forms gave the collection a futuristic edge.
Bengaluru, 18 October 2026 — The Institute of Fashion Technology Kerala presented a student showcase at the opening of Day Four of the 27th edition of Bangalore Fashion Week, with looks that leaned into sculptural construction and a vivid metallic palette. Across the selection, silver, blue, violet and green appeared in sharp contrast, creating a visual language that was both experimental and precise.
One look paired a pleated, fan-like collar with a sleeveless bodice and a voluminous skirt that shifted from green to violet to cream, the surface catching light with a translucent sheen. The silhouette was expansive and theatrical, with layered fabric falling in soft, fluid planes around the body.
Another ensemble used a compact mini silhouette in silver and deep blue, with horizontal bands and a central panel detailed with circular appliqué. The long sleeves and knee-high black boots lent the look a strong, urban finish, while the metallic fabric held a crisp, reflective surface.
A third look reduced the shape to a short, structured dress with a silver body and deep blue collar and hem. Curved panel lines traced the front, giving the garment a tailored, almost engineered quality, while the short length and boots kept the line clean and direct.
Elsewhere, the collection introduced volume through an oversized, rounded top in gradients of green, yellow and purple, worn over a silver mini skirt. The proportions created a striking silhouette, balancing softness and structure, and suggesting a study in texture, shape and colour rather than ornament alone.
